Is online banking safe?
Yes. Information you send us over the Internet is encrypted, which means it can only be read properly by the intended recipient. Your account data can be accessed only by using your authorized ID and password. Electronic banking is safer than paper banking.
Of course, your account is only as secure as your log-in information. Do not share your user ID or password with anyone. Hamilton Bank will never ask you for your password.
Can anyone else see my account information?
No, unless you share your user ID and password. The only way it can be accessed is by using your user ID and password.
What happens if Hamilton Bank’s online banking system goes down? Will my payments or transfers be made?
Any transaction processed prior to the system going down will go through. If you have any doubt about your transaction, contact us.
Can I access all of my accounts online?
Can I manage more than one checking account online?
Yes. All of your checking accounts can be linked to online banking.
Is online account information up-to-the-minute?
Electronic debits from your account, deposits or online transfers will show up immediately, but checks are posted once a day, and will be reflected online within a business day.
When are online bill pay funds actually taken out of my account?
Funds for authorized bill payments will be withdrawn on the day you specify.
Will I receive any statements for online bill pay?
A reference number accompanies each transaction. Payments and transfers also appear on your transaction register, so you can verify they have posted. You should also receive monthly statements from the company you are paying.
