Why did Hamilton Bank decide to rebrand?

With nearly 100 years providing banking services in Greater Baltimore, Hamilton has proven to be a well-respected, conservative and stable bank. While maintaining our excellent financial stability and superior reputation, we’ve transformed right along with our customers, adding new services to meet their complete banking needs: business loans, business lines of credit, home equity loans, mortgages, online banking, and 50,000 no-fee ATMs throughout the region. We rebranded because we wanted a unified brand both in our branches and online that more accurately represents the wide range of services we now offer. You will see that our updated branding better reflects Hamilton Bank’s deep roots with the community, our continuing commitment to the community and the bank’s steady growth.

 

 Why did the bank drop “Federal” from its name to become “Hamilton Bank”? 

Today, Hamilton Bank provides many more products and services than the savings accounts that were the foundation of our bank more than 90 years ago. Our new name more accurately reflects how we have changed. Mortgage banking continues to be a core strength at Hamilton Bank and we have recently added small business banking services as well.

 

 Does this change the FDIC insurance coverage for my accounts?

No. The FDIC insurance coverage is not affected by this change. Your accounts continue to be backed by the full faith and credit of the United States government.  For more information on FDIC insurance coverage visit www.fdic.gov

 

Has Hamilton Bank been bought by another bank?

No. Please be assured that the bank you’ve known for years has not changed ownership.

 

How does the name change and new branding impact Hamilton’s customers?

The only way you will be affected by our new name and branding is that you will have a better understanding of the services we provide and the benefits of banking with us. We also hope you will recognize that we are here as a resource for you as you move through the stages of your life. We’re accessible in person and online, and we still want you to think of us as your friendly corner bank.

 

 Hamilton Bank has a new logo. What does the logo represent?

Our new logo reflects who we are: solid, stable, and reliable, like the bold blue lettering of our name. It shows our connection to the community and our shared growth with you, our customers (depicted in an interconnected, circular pattern). For almost a century, we’ve remained financially conservative, yet we are vibrant and growing, represented by the color green.

 

Hamilton Bank has a new tagline: “Together. Let’s Grow.” What does it mean?

We know our success is built on your success. When you grow, we grow. We want to be there for our customers at every stage of financial growth, from your first savings account, to funding a business, and helping you to own your first home or your dream home. We are a community bank, and together we will grow.

 

 Why are we still seeing the old logo or old name is some places?

The transition will take time, and soon you’ll be seeing our new name on our Branch signage, your bank statements, checks and all other Bank items.

 

Can I continue to use my old Hamilton Federal Bank checks?

Yes, you will continue to use your existing Hamilton Federal Bank checks.  The next time you place a check re-order through us, you will see the new logo.

 

Will my ATM or MasterMoney Debit Card change?

We will be reissuing our ATM and Debit Cards.  The reissue will take place in May. You may continue to use your current ATM/Debit card until you receive your new card.

 

How do I access Internet Banking?

The Bank’s website address has changed to Hamilton-Bank.com. If you have the old website address bookmarked, for the next several months you will be automatically redirected to the new website.  Once at the new redesigned website, look for the green Online Banking Access section in the top right of the home page.

 

Is Hamilton’s staff changing as a result of the rebrand?

No. The individual staff members at each branch and at our headquarters remain the same. You’ll discover that the majority of Hamilton Bank’s leadership team has been with the bank for 20 years or more, and many of our employees have been with us for their entire careers. Our business banking team will continue to grow as demand grows, so that we can continue to put the customer at the center of every transaction, taking the time to understand your goals and always putting your needs first.

 

 What is next for Hamilton Bank?

Hamilton will continue to grow to exceed the needs of those we serve and provide the same level of superior customer service. We look forward to the coming years as we prepare to celebrate our 100 years in the greater Baltimore community.
